Penny Vangen(CHS)

LPN school, NDSSS '79, RN Grossmont College '86, San Diego. Tried California living for 20 years and retreated to Montana, where my town is smaller than Grand Forks. I've been working in Home Health/Hospice for 20 years. My son Tod has given me a grandson, Noah age 5 and grandaughter, Matilda age 20 monthes. I believe Montana should be on everyone's "Bucket List". I saw it in '92 and came back to reside here in '03. The river and mountain views from my home are postcard ethereal. Did some travels to the UK, Aruba and have enjoyed local trips and family time.

I remember hockey and football games the most. The homecoming game in the snow of '69 was memorable. Hockey was enjoyable and Central had a great pep band for those games. I remember guys from the class of '70 like Roger Rogalla and his purple and black Dodge and Fred Larson and his Hudson! Mr Rolfson and English Literature (which would be more appreciated now). I remember skipping school in my sophomore year for a day to be with my friends who went to Red River and hung out there for a day. That modular scheduling at Red River was memorable or something like that. Then a child bride before graduation.. but those of the class of '71 welcomed me back to complete that year. Better than a GED, a credit to Mrs Boyum.
