went to und for one semester,got my draft number and did not go back. went to aachers business college then worked for awhile.went back to aachers and finished when i realized i would not have to go into sthe service. went to state school of science in wahpeton for one quarter, then worked various jobs and occupations what have i done with my education? hey! i do my own taxes. i am presently working for und faillities where i started in1989 and can retire in a little over 2 years i have been involved in biblical dramas since 2001-5 plays"the passion"(2001+2004)"sign of jonah"(2002+2003)zaccheus road to redemption-2010 + 5 monologues(2004-2009) for the last 2 years i have been conducting a non denominational bible study with another fellow at the"northlands rescue mission" on thursday nights. on sunday nights i conduct non denominationalservices(sometimes by myself and sometimes with others) at the "grand forks correctional institute(jail) since february. we do not push any denomination nor do we slam any other denomination. in both instances i had nothing to do about getting myself into it nor promoting myself in any way. i was simply asked and i responed with a yes i also did one on one counciling with an inmate twice during the latter part of 2010 of also i had nothing to do about getting myself involved,but to say yes . i was later told however that i needed to be an ordained minister to keep on,so that door was closed. i also completed a correspondence course in christian counciling a couple years ago from"light university" this has been basically my life in a nutshell since 1971. as of right know i plan on going to the reunion,just don't know if it will be both nights.

Greetings! Here's hoping everybody has a merry Christmas and a merry everyday. There has been one change in my life since the reunion and that is I now wear glasses with bifocals which I obtained the day after the reunion on a Sunday. And speaking about being merry, I also have a good report that has happened in my life. In June I had a stress test and also some pictures taken of my heart. When I was done on the treadmill they were giving me all sorts of plaudits, telling me I was in just too good of a shape,that they had me on the treadmill 2 minutes longer than the maximum and they still couldn't get my pulse to its maximum rate. They said my results were better than most 30 and 40 year olds. Sounds great, but then 5 days later I received a call saying that they found a tiny hole in my heart and that I would have to come back 6 months later and take another test to see if it had gotten worse. They did not tell me what it was, but they said it was not a heart murmur. At that time I had not made up my mind to come to the reunion(see Diane Sondreal's list of excuses)and then some. I made up my mind pretty much then that I was, and that I was going to have a great time. I told no one except a few people at the church I go to and a cousin who lives in Grand Forks who I am pretty close to. I did not want negative words coming out of my mouth which would produce negative thoughts as I really believe that there is power in the words that come out of our mouths-for good or bad. Proverbs18:21 states: Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit of it. I'm not going to quote a bunch of bible passages, but I've got to show you where I'm coming from. My intent was to be upbeat and not let anything bother me. Now you see what was a lot of my motivation in puting the things on my website that I did. proverbs17:22: a merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drys up the bones. There are good medicines and bad medicines. Everybody goes through adversities and it is not foreign to anybody and some of you have gone through a lot tougher times that I have. We can have a ho ho attitude like santa ,not that you are denying your circumstances-or we can have a Bah! humbug attitude like Scrooge and complain all the time which is so easy to do. When I find myself in that state it gets worse and eventually you find yourself complaining about things that mean very little. Well enough said,now to the good point. When I received my pictures this time they said the hole in my heart was no longer there and everything looked good. And by the way: I had a great time at the reunion!
